Hi, I’m Arjuna Samarakoon—a passionate Senior Graphic Designer with 19 years of experience creating visual stories that connect, inspire, and elevate brands. My journey in design began with a love for illustration, storytelling, and the magic of creativity, and it has evolved into a career where I help brands bring their ideas to life through branding, marketing visuals, and motion graphics.

Where It All Started

Born with an eye for design and a mind for problem-solving, I knew early on that I wanted to create. After earning my Graphic Design degree from George Brown College, I stepped into the world of branding and multimedia design, working with global names like Netflix, Apple, Hulu, Sega, and Mattel. For nearly two decades at WildBrain, I designed show bibles, pitch decks, trade show visuals, and digital branding that shaped the look and feel of entertainment properties.

My Creative Process

Every project begins with a story—whether it's a brand, a product, or an idea that needs a visual identity. I take a collaborative approach, working closely with teams and clients to understand their vision, goals, and audience. From concept development and typography selection to digital assets and print design, I create solutions that are not just visually stunning but strategically impactful.

What Inspires Me?

I draw inspiration from the world around me—art, animation, music, and technology. Whether it’s the bold colors of street murals, the clean precision of Scandinavian design, or the dynamic storytelling of film and animation, I channel those influences into my work. I also believe in purpose-driven design, ensuring that every visual I create serves a deeper message and connection with its audience.
